Begins at confluence with Shell Creek upstream to a YCT barrier just downstream of Willey Creek.
Take highway 14 east from Greybull about 14 miles to the town of Shell then continue on up another 11 miles to the Shell Falls visitor center. From there, travel approximately 0.75 mile further east to a 2-track road (Forest Rd 264). You can travel a short distance up the road in a high clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle, but ATVs are recommended at this point. You can take ATVs to Brindle creek about 1.7 miles down the trail, but have to hike another 2.3 miles from there on well defined trail to a bridge crossing of Cedar Ck.
