Dry Fork Little Bighorn R from Garland Gulch Ck confluence down to confluence with Little Bighorn R.
The drive to the Dry Fork Little Bighorn begins near Burgess Junction along Highway 14 on top of the Bighorn Mountains (31 miles west of Ranchester or 52 miles east of Lovell). Take Forest Service road 15 north from here about 5.3 miles to its intersection with FS road 168 and turn right (north). Take FS road 168 another 5.0 miles to its junction with FS road 149. When dry, the road to this point is usually graded and passable by any 2-wheel drive vehicle. However you'll need a 4-wheel drive truck (preferably someone else's) or an ATV to travel down and back on road 149. Hiking is also an option from here. Go 5.8 miles on this rocky, steep road to its end at Miller Creek where you'll find an old cow camp (log cabin). At Miller Creek, walk downhill another 0.6 miles to the Dry Fork and some of the finest, solitude and fishing in the state.
