The Boulder Rearing Station/Hatchery Public Access Area (PAA) is located 14 miles south of Pinedale, WY. The PAA consists of 445 acres of East Fork river access. Visitors may tour the Boulder Rearing Station and enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, sightseeing, and photography on areas of the property that are open to these activities. Public access is limited from 8am-5pm through the Rearing Station facility and gates are locked after hours. The 240 acres on the southeast side of the access area is available via primitive roads on the BLM after Rearing Station hours. East Fork anglers can find a variety of fish including Brown, Rainbow trout, Mountain Whitefish and an occasional Snake River Cutthroat trout on this tributary of the New Fork river. A variety of wildlife inhabit the access area including: Antelope, moose, deer, Sage grouse, and waterfowl. Hunting is not allowed in the vicinity of the Rearing Station, but is allowed on the access area’s southeast side (south of East Fork river), and boundaries are marked. Please respect adjacent private property, No fishing in the west pond (fish hatchery), no camping, open fires or fireworks permitted.
