Game and Fish to host public meeting to discuss proposed changes to fishing regulation on Jackson Lake
JACKSON – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will hold a public engagement meeting on February 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jackson Regional Office, 420 N. Cache St. This meeting aims to discuss potential changes to fishing regulations on Jackson Lake.
Under current regulations, fishing on Jackson Lake is prohibited from October 1 to October 31. The public is invited to attend the meeting to learn about the history of this regulation and why it may no longer be necessary. During the meeting, staff from the Jackson Region will also share results from a recent angler survey.
The survey and meeting will help fisheries managers assess public interest in alternative management strategies and gather additional input before finalizing a new regulation proposal, which will be presented to the Game and Fish Commission later this year.
